Montpellier is one of very rare places (at least in my experience) that has found a balance between old styles of buildings and new ones. It has buildings from different eras - old Roman remains, medieval streets, baroque buildings and very modern congress and office buildings, and the different styles don't clash because they are in different parts of the place.

The main square in Montpellier, mostly with old baroque buildings, very pictoresque

Polygone - a shopping center near our hotel

The old church is in a gothic style and looks even nicer from close up.

End-point of a Roman(?) aquaduct, it's actually in a park with a little forest
I'm very glad I had the chance to visit Montpellier - the company, the sun, the place were all wonderful.
