ext4 looks good
Early adopters are starting to write about the ext4 file system and it looks good. In this writeup the re-read anomaly is probably due either to invalid benchmarks or to hacks to page replacement LRU in page cache. Mixed workload and random write are significant - with random write being close to 10% better on ext4.
