PixelCity

If you haven't seen it already (and it's doubtful because it has been making the rounds on the interweblogs), PixelCity is a really nice graphics demo. Some 10 years ago or so I used to pay attention to the new demos that were created and watched them to both relax and admire the technicall skills of their creators. PixelCity renders a procedural city nightscape - a random scattering of buildings, streats and cars looks relaxing, especially for a night-time viewing. It also points to a business model...

I think there could be a business opportunity  here: to offer big huge companies with impressive buildings to 3D scan the company building(s) and buildings around them, in whatever technology - 3D modelling from maps and photos would work well - and build a screensaver that moves the camera in the style of PixelCity, taking care to show the target company building very often and from impressive angles. The screensaver would then be installed at employee's workstations and/or wherever the incoming guests will be most impressed by them.

I feel there are enough companies with impressive egos and thick wallets to make this a pretty cushy job.
